The Cabarrus Arts Council is the only organization in Cabarrus County with the mission to support all of the arts in the community. Arts council grants are available to support arts organizations, community arts programs, educational arts programs, and individual artists. Programs that the arts council provides augment the education that our children receive in school and enrich the lives of all of our citizens. The council works in partnership with the county, municipalities, other non-profits and businesses to provide wonderful opportunities for people of all ages, races, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Founded in 1980, the Cabarrus Arts Council has served the citizens of Cabarrus County for more than two decades. North Carolina is known nationwide for its professional system of local arts councils which include the state arts council and 86 local arts councils working together to support all of the arts in North Carolina.
