REGIONAL ARTIST PROJECT GRANTS: These grants offer support to Cabarrus County artists,
helping each further his or her professional development. Individual artists and small, unincorporated groups are eligible to apply. In odd-numbered years, grants are open to artists who work in dance, theater, film, multidisciplinary or performing arts. In even-numbered years, grants are available to visual artists.
Regional Artist Grant applications will be available June 16, 2007, for the grant period January 1-December 31 2008. The application deadline will be Wednesday, August 27, 2008.

ORGANIZATION SUPPORT GRANTS: These grants are available to support local arts organizations in Cabarrus County . The purpose of these grants is to stabilize and strengthen arts organizations that provide high quality arts programming for the citizens of Cabarrus County . Eligible organizations are ones that are non-profit, have a mission that focuses solely on the arts, are located in Cabarrus
County
and provide at least 75% of their programs in the county. These funds may be used to support program, operating and administrative costs.

PROJECT ASSISTANCE GRANTS: These grants are available to non-profit organizations in Cabarrus County . The purpose of these grants is to support programs of artistic merit that have community or statewide impact. Project Assistance Grants support exemplary forms for artistic expression in a variety of artistic disciplines. Eligibility does not extend to religious organizations or for internal programs at colleges or libraries. Funding may be considered when an institution is developing a program that involves and serves the community, reaching beyond the organization's usual audience.

ARTS EDUCATION GRANTS: These grants are available to pre-school, elementary, middle and high schools in Cabarrus
County
to bring professional artists into the school setting. The purpose of the Arts Education Grants is to supplement school curriculum and to awaken student's intellectual and creative curiosity. Public and private schools in Cabarrus
County
are eligible for these funds which must be used for art programs that the school does not provide on a nor mal
basis. Priority will be given to residency programs and to schools that are using artists that they have not used previously.
